Write his letter.

      • no-one will support him (society, father)
    • law that forbids him gay sexual encounters
    • Steph has no right to speak to Joe and his mum will not forward a message from her to Joe

Dear Mum,

I still have to think about what had happened all those year before and I’m still in vacillation about if it was unjust to just leave you and dad after I came back from the LGSM protest. You have to understand what LGSM meant for me it was not just a quer thing, for me it made me who I am today and I don’t regret anything about it.

I was finally able to find people who don’t let their prejudices control their mind and instead respect and accept me for who I was. I am gay and I am not ashamed of that regardless of what you wanted me to think. Furthermore in LGSM I found many friend and people on which I can count. I’ve never felt less lonely.

Mum, can you please reconsider your prejudices so we can meet again without weird feelings? I love you and I know you love me as well. Let’s break the ice again and be like a normal family again.

With kind regards and love

Joe
